YOU are a TEACHER, Whether You Want To Be or Not.
This post is predicated on information found in channeled material given to Helen Schucman in the 1970’s which has become known as ACIM or “A Course in Miracles”. As part of that channeled material, a portion is dedicated to discussing and explaining, from the perspective of the entity sharing the information contained in that book, the following points…… giving emphasis regarding….. Teacher and Student
Note: I recommend people look into ACIM and the section titled “Manual for Teachers “ along with “The Ra Material”/Law of One for wonderful snippets of great spiritually oriented “inner work” types of information. The themes of service, kindness, growth, positive outcomes, shared interest in others are found in many channeled works. Discernment and reflection will guide you to many benefits.

To Teach is to demonstrate. Regardless of what is being demonstrated. The demonstration, by default, is teaching.
To teach is to learn.
Teaching and learning are the same.
Teacher and student are the same. You learn what you teach.
———————————————————-
One of the main concepts expressed in ACIM is, therefor, that you will teach/demonstrate for the ego (in LOO terms-STS) or you will teach/demonstrate for God (in LOO terms-STO). You demonstrate by your behavior/thoughts/actions/attitude, which you most strongly believe in, by illustrating that belief through what you demonstrate.
ACIM basically explains there are three levels of teaching progress/ advancement. The analogy of climbing a ladder to get to an objective/goal, and the rungs of the ladder, representing stages of development that expresses progress upward to the goal.
The first rung represents the moment when the teacher/you make the monumental discovery and major realization that “somehow, somewhere he has made a deliberate choice in which he did not see his interests as apart from someone else’s.”
Making that “deliberate choice” would put you on that first rung of the correct ladder that establishes the direction of being a teacher of God (and/or the Service to Others) teacher. When that choice is made you begin to demonstrate/teach through your actions/attitude/motivations/thoughts that the choice is put into action.
Teaching is a constant process; it goes on every moment of the day, and continues into sleeping thoughts as well.
This quote from ACIM: “From your demonstration others learn, and so do you. The question is not whether you will teach, for in that there is no choice. The purpose of the course might be said to provide you with a means of choosing what you want to teach on the basis of what you want to learn. You cannot give to someone else, but only to yourself, and this you learn through teaching. Teaching is but a call to witnesses to attest to what you believe. It is a method of conversion. This is not done by words alone. Any situation must be to you a chance to teach others what you are, and what they are to you. No more than that, but also never less.”
This material from ACIM is very similar to the concepts I’ve noticed in the LOO / “Law of One Material”.
Seeing others as yourself, serving others and seeing your interest as not apart from someone else, is basic to determining the choice between ego and a much greater catalyst toward ascension.
